Singing in unison with a unifying brand

In Japan, most worship music comes from overseas, usually translated from English, with imported melodies and rhythms that don’t quite fit the local culture. A group of Japanese singers, songwriters, and worship leaders wanted to change that. They set out to create original Japanese worship music that felt native, familiar, and meaningful to the people singing it.
As they began writing and recording, they realized they needed more than just music. They needed a brand—something to represent who they were and what they were about.
We started by helping the group land on a name: Unison, a nod to both musical harmony and collective unity. From there, we built a visual identity that felt distinctly Japanese, but avoided cultural tropes or overused design clichés. The goal was something quiet, confident, and rooted.
Once the brand was in place, we designed and built a clean, user-friendly website to serve as a hub for their music. Listeners can stream songs, watch videos, download sheet music, read lyrics, and see who’s involved, all in one place.
The result is a thoughtful, well-crafted identity and digital platform that supports a deeply meaningful mission: providing Japanese churches access to worship music written by and for their own people.
